Sleeping Toll

£7.50Price

23rd century civilisation has been redeveloped to co-exist in perfect harmony with nature, but while rooftop gardens may be flourishing with the green prosperity of home-grown life, tension is brewing behind closed doors as a conspiracy begins to unfold regarding the fact sleep itself has been monetized and the severe consequences of failing to pay has become the cause of endless fatalities!

With our minds fully at the mercy of the elite, dreams themselves have been reduced to mere advert sequences, with the seeming exception of one little girl named Ylla. Fearful that her disturbed brother has been buying everything that’s advertised to him at night, while aware that the phenomena of her abnormal dreamscape activity must be kept secret, Ylla confides in her mad Uncle (whilst slowly forming an understanding of his sleep avoidance tactics!) and together, they begin unravelling the dark, sinister mysteries of sleeping toll…

*The format of this story has imperfections running throughout.

This is because a sprite was "helping me" with the editing.

For the first draft, I found rewording

places

where it was doing

this

proved enough to please the entity and I managed to make all the anomalies disappear!

However, upon revisiting the book it got too much to take! Each tiny alteration meant opening the document in a different programme, then burning it down to become the final PDF in the mere hope my alternative wording might have solved whatever it's issue was... After stumbling over and over again on the same sentence, before noticing a new string of anomilies had appeared, I had no choice but to amit defeat in my pursuit of appeasing "the ghost writer".
